Barrier-Free Manufacturing

Membio's 0.2-10 L benchtop bioreactor system was built for cost-efficient cell manufacturing.​

Our Approach to Biomanufacturing

Membio's single-use perfusion bioreactor vessel is designed to scale with flexibility from 0.2-10 L.

Designed to Maximize Efficiency

Capillaries distributed throughout the human body ensure that cells are never out of reach of the nutrients they need to grow, making it the most efficient nutrient delivery system.

 

So, we decided to recreate it:

Leveraging Nature's Design

​Our bioreactors have gas and liquid perfusion systems that are precisely distributed throughout the vessel chamber so that, just like in the human body, cells are never out of reach of the critical gas and liquid nutrients they need to grow.

Our system is designed to scale up while maintaining a constant environment.

DESIGNED TO SCALE UP, NOT OUT

Bringing Simplicity to a Complex Process

Membio’s 0.2-10 L system can automate and replace the entire seed train for production volumes to 2,500-L. We achieve high cell densities in our bioreactor using perfusion. This allows us to eliminate intermediary steps and produce enough cells to inoculate bioreactors that are up to 250x as large.
